Special Message from Tracy Library Children’s Department

This year the Summer Reading Program has exceeded all expectations with 135 students registered! J

If we had continued to register past our deadline, we would be around 175 children! To provide the quality program we have planned, it was impossible to accommodate this many additional children for the current year. We apologize for the disappointment this may have caused both parents and children, but hope that you can understand the situation. With materials already purchased and prepared, programs in place and stores expecting our usual number, we needed to hold to our registration deadline which is an important part of any program planning.

Looking ahead to next year, consideration will be taken on how best to continue to provide a quality program and still offer it to as many children as possible. It is certainly a wonderful reason to be re-thinking a program! To keep children reading and coming to the Library is our top priority and obviously it is for our families as well!
